Can my ex take my car?

My ex and i bought a car through finance, it is almost payed off. We have been seperate 8 months. The rego and insurance is in my name. I pay the repayments. My ex has debts and consolidated them all but if they dont pay it off in 12 weeks the company she went through is taking the car. Can they legally do this?
