Names of movies I remember as a child, I rented them from the Library. Boy in a Barrel and a Giant Chicken....?

I can't remember the names of the movies... One started out with an elderly lady and if I remember correctly she had no children and was lonely and ordered a child in a Barrel, he was contained in some sort of gel. I thought the boys name was Conrad but now that I think of it, it was a children's movie and would make more sense if it was "Comrade". The other movie all I remember was the movie was ALSO live action, and it involved a giant chicken named Henrietta... anyone know these movies?
