Hello im researching my Family tree.?

It can be EITHER Polish or Russian, and if you look at history, Poland was annexed by Russia at one time. If you have the record of immigration, it often includes a specific town of origin. This always is best, because if you know a TOWN, then you can look for perhaps church or civil records. The towns don't move... but the political/ country boundaries do.
