What is your view on today's youth?

I personally see a trend of a lack of parenting in today's youngsters... I find that young kids (middle school age) have not been properlly taught respect. my son is only a toddler, but he already knows to respect others no matter what... but when we go to the mall or something, I am constantly amazed at what some of these kids to... what are your thoughts?
