Any way to make Cafix palatable?

Okay. So I'm drinking Cafix (fake coffee comprised mostly of barley and chicory with some fig and beet root) for health reasons. The chicory is necessary for me right now. But that stuff tastes absolutely awful. Completely unacceptable. It tastes like I brewed a teaspoon of ground black pepper in a mug of water. Is there any way to make this taste good, or at least palatable? BTW, I cannot have any caffeine (even decaf has some), sugar, dairy, or artificial sweeteners. Or honey. Someone please rescue my taste buds. Thank you for your help.
