I have never gotten a job interview while currently employed?

I wish I knew. I am having the same problem right now - I'm becoming increasingly disenchanted with my current job but cannot afford to quit and look for new work. So I've been sending out applications and resumes all over the place but I can't get anyone to even contact me back, much less ask me to come in for an interview. It's extremely frustrating :(
