Is Outback Steakhouse a good representation of Australian food?

i have no idea how it is in other countries but in america we are bombarded by horrible chain restaurants (don't get me started on fast food places). and the thing i've noticed about outback steakhouse is that, it's pretty much the same as any other crappy chain steakhouse. other than the decor, i see/taste nothing about the food that says australian. i could be wrong but to me it's seems about as asutralian as taco bell or del taco is mexican.
