Are sugar gliders easy pets?

I know this may sound different, but I had a pet squirrel Lucky, he was amazing. I found him covered in blood on the ground after being mauled by a cat, and washed him up, surprisingly, he made a full recovery. He was a just baby, and I was the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes. He was the greatest pet I ever had, tame, loyal, and very social. I set him free as an adult and now is living the good life with his other squirrel friends, but I miss something in my life. I was considering sugar gliders, since their more obtainable then a common squirrel, but what do you think?
